A lovely metal coat rack designed by Mathieu Matégot, manufactured by Artimeta in the Netherlands around 1950.
The piece is made of high quality black lacquered metal with a perforated metal hat shelf. The metal frame has a rectangular mounting structure and tubular metal coat hangers. The hangers are different in height and have a ball shaped end, giving the piece a lovely appeal! The perforated metal hat shelf adds nicely to it’s style and makes this a most recognizable design. A wonderful minimalist modern piece that will be a nice eye-catcher in any decor!
It remains in good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a nice patina.
