A beautiful lounge chair from the Japanese series, designed by Cees Braakman and manufactured by Pastoe in the Netherlands around 1950.
The piece has a black lacquered, rectangular metal base. The piece is newly upholstered in high quality beige fabric, which fits the style perfectly. The slightly tilted backrest and armrests combined with the backwards leaning seat all add to a unique style as well as an outstanding seating comfort. A rare chair with a fantastic design that will be a fantastic addition to any interior!
It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
