A beautiful “Mademoiselle” chair designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara for Edsbyverken in Sweden around 1950.
This iconic piece of mid-century Scandinavian design is a highly recognizable find! It has a tall, spoked backrest that adds nicely to the style and comfort of the piece. The whole piece is made of wood, nicely (re)painted in white, making the piece very suitable for different kinds of interior! The spokes, legs and supports are nicely tapered and rounded, all crafted with a fine eye for detail.
The chair remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. It has been repainted in the past.
