A 1970s 2-Seater sofa, model “Bastiano” designed by Tobio Scarpa and manufactured by Gavina in Italy.
This exquisite 2-seater sofa is a true representation of Italian mid-century design. The tropical hardwooden frame has a nice, warm brown colour and has a nice rectangular, modern shape. The seat and back are upholstered in cognac leather, nicely complimenting the style of the piece while adding a fantastic seating comfort!
Designed by Tobio Scarpa, the “Bastiano” sofa is an iconic piece that reflects the designer’s commitment to blending modern aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship. Its clean lines and balanced proportions make it a versatile choice that can effortlessly complement various interior styles.
It remains in fair, vintage condition, it can still be used well. The piece has some user marks, as shown in photos. It has a beautiful vintage patina and the user marks definitely add to that, which is why we chose not to restore the leather.
