A very nice set of four dining chairs, designed by Karel Boonzaaijer and Pierre Mazairac, manufactured by Metaform in the Netherlands around 1980.
The chairs are upholstered in beautiful vintage fabric with a unique eighties style pattern. This matches nicely with the black metal frame. The tubular frame has a straight base and smoothly curved upwards into the armrests. It’s this eye-catching feature that they owe their name to! The floating structure of the seat gives them an appealing style and adds nicely to the seating comfort, as well as the gently bent seat and backrest. This set is a fantastic find that will be a beautiful addition to the dining room!
The set remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
