A very rare dining / conference / side chair, designed by Mario Botta for the San Fransisco Museum of Modern Arts (documented). This unique chair is made of high quality black lacquered metal on a thin metal base, seat and back upholstered in black leather and nicely connected in the back. These chairs were used in the special events space of the museum designed by Botta. Elegant design details made the room the ideal setting for both public and private art openings, parties, receptions and meetings. These chairs surrounded the large rows of tables. This piece remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
