Dating from the 1970s, the Balance wall lamp, model C-1550, was designed by French designer Bertrand Balas for Raak, Netherlands. The lamp features a beautifully balanced composition of golden-coloured metal, giving it a warm and elegant appearance. Balas was known for his poetic approach to lighting, often combining simple geometric forms with carefully directed light.
The Balance is a wonderful example of the sophisticated lighting designs produced by Raak during the 1970s, when Dutch lighting design was gaining international recognition.
