A beautiful floor lamp in the style of Mathieu Matégot, manufactured in France around 1950.
Made of high quality black lacquered metal, the piece has a round foot with three tall narrow arms, each holding it’s own light source and shade. The shades are made of perforated metal in this typical Matégot style, which creates a unique style and allows a fantastic light to emit when lit. The wavy finish of the arms as well as the shades is a nice finishing touch to this elegant design!
It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina!
