A lovely chair, model “Revolt”, designed by Friso Kramer and manufactured by Ahrend de Cirkel in the Netherlands around 1950.
This is one of the most iconic designs by Dutch designer Friso Kramer that has won many design awards for the smooth, practical design without unnecessary details and showing beauty in simplicity. They were commonly used in the Netherlands as school chairs in the 1960s and have evolved into a modern day must-have for any design enthusiast! The chair is made of white lacquered metal with red ciranol seat and back, creating a very appealing contrast feel to the industrial style.
It remains in good, vintage condition with some wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
