An eye-catching wire metal coat rack, innovatively designed by Verner Panton and manufactured by Fritz Hansen in Denmark around 1960. It is free standing and can be placed anywhere in the decor, fitting in smoothly because of it’s open design. The orange lacquered wire metal brings a unique appeal to the piece, allowing coats and other items to be hung in different ways depending on the preference of the user. Even without hanging coats, it has a great decorative value! Using shapes and materials in new ways is typical for the designs by Panton and this coat rack is no exception. It remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
