The “Lazy Light” is a very unique piece of Italian design by Paulo Francesco Piva for Luxo, manufactured around 1980.
The feature that makes this lamp truly stand out, is the mechanism that allows it to be adjusted in height. With just a press of the button, the machine starts moving an slowly lowers the hood the lamp. Mainly a novelty, but also a useful feature for easy adjustment which it owes it’s name to. It has a very thin, flat arm that is almost invisible from the side but clearly visible from different angles. A very fun piece of vintage design! It is marked under the base.
This eye-catching light remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina!
