Designed by Mario Cananzi and Roberto Semprini for Edra in 1988, the Tatlin sofa is one of the most iconic examples of Italian postmodern design. Its spectacular circular form and dramatic spiral structure were inspired by Vladimir Tatlin’s famous Monument to the Third International, an emblem of Russian Constructivism.
Designed to stand freely in the centre of a room, Tatlin is much more than a sofa—it is a true piece of functional sculpture. Its generous circular seating invites people to sit from different directions, while the striking sculptural silhouette creates an unforgettable focal point. Bold, playful, and architectural, the Tatlin remains a remarkable statement of 1980s Italian design.
There are a few small stains on the upholstery, but considering its age, the overall vintage condition remains very good.
