This iconic 1990s TV Chair was designed by Australian designer Marc Newson for Moroso, Italy, in 1993. With its distinctive sculptural silhouette and open backrest, the chair reflects Newson’s fascination with futuristic forms and technology. The rounded shape was inspired by the appearance of a 1950s television screen, giving the chair its memorable name.
Made with an internal steel frame and moulded polyurethane foam, it combines an innovative appearance with surprising comfort. Its bold yet playful character makes it a striking statement piece in any contemporary, minimalist or design-focused interior. A true example of Newson’s groundbreaking approach to furniture design during the 1990s.
