A beautiful table- or floor lamp model “Serpente” designed by Elio Martinelli, manufactured by Martinelli Luce in Italy in the 1970s.
This iconic lamp has a highly recognizable style, made of a tubular white metal frame with a large round white plexiglass shade. The name “Serpente” means snake in Italian, which refers to the curved shape of the base that can be adjustedd in different positions as shown in photos. The shade gently diffuses the glass and creates a beautiful light when lit, emiting warmth around the interior and adding nicely to the lamps beautiful style. A true icon of mid-century design!
It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
