A rare pair of dining / side chairs in Haagsche School style, designed by Hendrik Wouda and manufactured by Pander in the Netherlands around 1930.
Made of high quality wood with beige ribcord upholstery to the seat and back, partially finished with cupper nails. Very fitting to the design, adding a nice harmony to the overall appeal as well as additional seating comfort! The straight, minimalist shapes and bold design of the chairs are typical for the Haagsche School movement, making this set an exceptional find of Dutch design!
Tagged in the frame as shown in photos.
They remain in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
